Artist Constance Payne just recently decided to paint a beautiful picture of
Jake that will be debuted at the William Secord Gallery in New York City on
February 10, 2007.
Jake is a 5
1/2 year old white and orange English Pointer with an even marked head
and a 50 pound well proportioned body. His teeth are straight and he has
a distinguished list of natural born characteristics and field tested
accomplishments.
As far as characteristics go, Jake has always been a picture of health
requiring little or no veterinary attention. He took to a training
program in stride and was a star student that developed into a truly
polished shooting dog. He runs, points and backs as stylish as you
please and sires pups whose owner's report are following suit and making
notable wild bird hunting dogs themselves.
A look at his pedigree reveals generations of championship talent and
blood. Jake began showing his own talent developing into a horseback
shooting dog winning 15 placements on the Amateur level and ? placements
on the Open Shooting Dog circuit. In the 2004/2005 trial season Jake won
the Oklahoma Shooting Dog of the Year and was named runner up the same
year in Texas.
Jake is a well traveled dog winning trials in 5 states including; Texas,
Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. He also has spent several
summers on the prairies of South Dakota polishing up on native pheasant
and sharp-tailed grouse. In competition he was under the whistle of 4
different handlers; proving he is a go anywhere, do anything, for
anybody kind of dog.
Aside from being an avid field trial competitor, he has been regularly
called upon to guide quail hunts on ranches in West Texas. Jake has the
ability to hunt with you in the tight country or go big when the
conditions get though and the country gets wide to find that solitary
covey. He does all this without the electronics, stays broke over the
hill, and always goes with you.
If you are looking for a level headed, wild bird dog, with brains,
class, conformation and stamina; let
Phantom's Nemaha Jake sire your next litter! |
